Genoa has endured a poor start to the current Serie A season, prompting significant changes in the club's management.
Details: Genoa has officially announced that French football legend Patrick Vieira is the club's new head coach.
Vieira has signed a contract with Genoa that runs until the summer of 2026, with an option for an additional year.
He replaces Alberto Gilardino, who was dismissed yesterday following the team's disappointing performance.
After 12 rounds of Serie A, Genoa sits in 17th place with just 10 points, only 1 point above the relegation zone.
Reminder: Vieira previously managed Strasbourg, New York City FC, Crystal Palace, and Nice, where he had a notable conflict with Mario Balotelli, now a forward for Genoa.
