Italian side Parma have officially announced the signing of 38-year-old Spanish shot-stopper Vicente Guaita on a free transfer.
Details: The contract runs until the summer of 2026, though it remains unclear whether the deal includes an option for extension.
The transfer was prompted by an injury to Parma's first-choice goalkeeper, Zion Suzuki, who is set to be sidelined for three to four months.
Guaita left his Spanish club Celta this summer. Throughout his career, he has also featured for Valencia, Getafe, and English side Crystal Palace.
Last season, the Spanish keeper made 34 appearances for Celta, keeping eight clean sheets.
Reminder: Parma made an offer to Real Madrid for Andriy Lunin—but the Madrid club turned it down.
