Borussia Dortmund has finally decided on its new head coach. The man to take charge of the Black and Yellows is Niko Kovač.
Details: The Croatian coach will officially take charge after the match against Heidenheim, meaning on Sunday, February 2. His contract is set for 1.5 years, running until June 30, 2026. The official presentation will take place at a press conference next week.
Niko Kovač began his managerial career in 2013 with Croatia’s U21 national team. He later coached the senior Croatian national team, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich, Monaco, and Wolfsburg, leaving the latter in 2024.
Reminder: Borussia Dortmund currently sits in 11th place in the Bundesliga. Excluding their ongoing Champions League match against Shakhtar, Die Schwarzgelben have won just one of their last ten games.
