OFFICIAL: Nigeria’s Semi Ajayi Joins Hull City on Free Transfer


Hull City have officially announced the signing of Nigerian international Semi Ajayi, who joins the club on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract with West Bromwich Albion.
The 31-year-old centre-back has penned a two-year deal with the Tigers, with an option for a third season, as confirmed by the club on Thursday via its official channels.
Fresh Start in the Championship
Ajayi, seasoned English Championship player, played in 16 game for West Brom last season. The former Arsenal youth product, who's renowned for his aerial strength and poise at the back, is anticipated to provide Hull's defensive line with much needed experience & leadership.
Promotion Push Incoming
The arrival of Ajayi could be crucial as Hull City attempts to assemble a strong, well-rounded team that can contend at the top of the table, given their goal of challenging for Premier League promotion the following season.
Ajayi has also earned 30 caps with Nigeria, representing the Super Eagles in several major tournaments, adding international pedigree to Hull’s backline for the upcoming campaign.
