OFFICIAL. Manchester United have signed a French super-talent

The transfer saga of central defender Leny Yoro has come to an end.
Manchester United has officially announced the signing of the 18-year-old French footballer. The transfer fee amounted to €62 million, and Yoro has signed a contract until the summer of 2029.
Previously, Real Madrid was considered the main contender for Yoro. Many insiders reported that the young footballer dreamed of playing at the Santiago Bernabéu and was rejecting all other offers. However, Real Madrid ultimately could not reach an agreement with Lille, and Yoro decided not to wait, accepting the offer from the "Red Devils."
In addition to Real Madrid, PSG was also interested in Yoro.
It is reported that Yoro will initially earn around €7-8 million at Old Trafford, with a clause in his contract allowing for annual salary increases.
Yoro is the second new signing for Manchester United following the club's acquisition by INEOS. The first transfer under the new ownership was striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The 18-year-old Yoro is a product of Lille's youth academy. In the recently concluded season, he played 44 matches and scored 3 goals.
