Manchester City recently announced the departure of goalkeeper Scott Carson, but the club didn’t stay without a new shot-stopper for long and has already found his replacement.

Details: Chelsea and Manchester City have officially confirmed that Marcus Bettinelli is moving from the London club to Manchester. The goalkeeper has signed a one-year deal and will join the squad ahead of the Club World Cup.

Quote: “It’s an honour for me to sign with City. I’ve admired what this club has achieved from afar since Pep Guardiola arrived, and now I’m excited to be part of building on that success,” Bettinelli said.

Earlier, we reported that Algeria international Rayan Aït-Nouri also joined Manchester City. His transfer fee amounted to €40 million, which suited both parties.

Reminder: Manchester City are close to parting ways with Jack Grealish and have already set his price tag at just €40 million.
