Official Katsina United to Play Home Matches in Kano as Muhammad Dikko Stadium Becomes Unavailable
Katsina United have officially confirmed that their next two home fixtures will be played away from Katsina, with matches relocated to the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.
The change of venue comes after reports revealed that the club’s traditional home ground, Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, is currently unavailable for use. As a result, the Chanji Boys have been forced to temporarily move their home games to Kano.
The Nigeria Premier Football League side made the announcement in an official statement released on Saturday, clarifying the situation surrounding their upcoming fixtures.
“Katsina United Fc next two home matches will take place at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata Kano,” Katsina United announced in a statement on Saturday.
“The next two home matches against Kun Khalifa and Plateau United Fc will take place in Kano before we come back to Muhammadu Dikko Stadium Katsina to face Abia Warriors in MD 24.”
The affected fixtures include clashes against Kun Khalifat FC and Plateau United, both of which will now be hosted in Kano before Katsina United return to their home ground later in the season.
Meanwhile, Katsina United will first turn their attention to an away assignment as they prepare to face Kun Khalifat FC in a Matchday 19 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.
