After a quiet start to the summer transfer window under Arne Slot, Liverpool are now rolling out one signing after another. The first addition of the summer is already in the bag – Bayer Leverkusen's defender Jeremie Frimpong.
Details: Liverpool's press office officially announced the signing of the Dutch defender today. The terms of the deal and contract length remain undisclosed, but according to media reports, Frimpong has signed a five-year contract with the newly crowned Premier League champions, while Bayer will receive €35 million for the transfer.
Reminder: Frimpong's primary position is right-back, making him a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was officially unveiled today as a Real Madrid player.
The Dutchman arrives at Anfield after four and a half seasons in Germany with Bayer, where he made 190 appearances, scored 30 goals, and provided 44 assists.
