According to the financial details disclosed in Turkey, Trabzonspor will pay Midtjylland €17 million in eight instalments spread over five years, with additional performance-related bonuses also included in the agreement.
Franculino has signed a four-year contract with an option for one additional season. He is set to earn a guaranteed €2.125 million in each of the first four campaigns, while the salary for the optional 2030/31 season would rise to €2.406 million.
The move comes after the powerful striker attracted attention from England. Newcastle and Leeds were reported to be monitoring Franculino during the summer, while Everton were also linked with a move for the Guinea-Bissau international. Instead of heading to the Premier League, the forward will continue his career in the Turkish Super Lig.
It is worth noting that Franculino finished the 2025/26 Danish Superliga season as the competition's top scorer, netting 17 goals in just 21 league appearances. Across all competitions he recorded 22 goals in 34 matches, while Transfermarkt's latest valuation of the striker stands at €22 million.
