Official! Hansi Flick receives prestigious award
Hansi Flick has received another reward for Barcelona's spectacular start to the season.
Details: The Barcelona head coach has been named LaLiga Coach of the Month for September. The Catalans produced a perfect record in the Spanish championship during the month, winning all four of their league matches and collecting the maximum 12 points.
Flick's team opened their September league schedule with a crushing 5-0 away victory over Valencia. Barcelona then defeated Levante 4-2 before putting seven goals past Racing Santander in a spectacular 7-2 home win.
Barcelona completed the month with another confident result, beating Sevilla 3-1 away from home. Across those four LaLiga matches, the Blaugrana scored an impressive 19 goals while conceding only five.
Those results allowed Flick to secure the monthly individual award and underlined Barcelona's excellent start to the domestic campaign. The German coach has once again been recognized for both his team's results and their prolific attacking football.
It is worth noting that Flick was also among the finalists for LaLiga's Coach of the Month award for August, although that prize went to Deportivo Alavés head coach Quique Sánchez Flores.
