Hamza Abdelkader has made history by becoming the youngest player ever to feature for Egypt at a FIFA World Cup after appearing at just 18 years of age.

The teenage forward was introduced in the 76th minute during Egypt’s opening Group G match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a 1-1 draw against Belgium.

The forward recently completed a move to FC Barcelona from Al Ahly, initially arriving on loan before the Spanish giants reportedly activated a €1.5 million buy option to secure him on a permanent deal.
