Roma went through three head coaches over the course of last season. The club spent a long time deliberating on who should fill the vacancy, and now the decision has finally been made.

Details: Roma has officially announced that Gian Piero Gasperini, who spent many years at Atalanta, is the new head coach of the team. The new manager has signed a contract running until 2028. Earlier reports indicated that Gasperini will earn five million euros per year.

Under Gasperini's guidance, Atalanta made history by winning the Europa League for the first time, as well as qualifying for the Champions League on four occasions. This season, the Bergamo-based club finished third in Serie A after 30 rounds.

Reminder: There is a real possibility that former coach of Roma, Genoa, Torino, and Verona Ivan Jurić could make a return to Italian football—this time at the helm of Atalanta.
