After yesterday's matchday in European competitions, it has been confirmed which two countries will send five teams to the Champions League next season.

Details: England had already secured this right, and following Athletic Bilbao's victory over Rangers, Spain has guaranteed its place in the top-2 of the seasonal UEFA coefficient rankings.

Throughout this season, Spanish clubs have amassed 23.034 points, making them unreachable for Italy, which has 21.125 points.

In the semifinals of the European competitions, Spain is still represented by three teams: Barcelona (Champions League), Athletic Bilbao (Europa League), and Betis (Conference League).

Currently, Villarreal holds fifth place in La Liga, leading Betis by three points and having one game in hand.

This also means that the eighth place in La Liga is guaranteed a spot in the Conference League. Mallorca currently occupies this position.

Reminder: Yesterday, Bodø/Glimt became the first Norwegian team in history to reach the semifinals of a European competition.
