Details: Al-Ittihad has officially announced the departure of 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder Fabinho following the expiration of his contract. The player, who joined the club from Liverpool in the summer of 2023 for €46 million, spent three seasons in Jeddah and is now a free agent.

According to Ben Jacobs, the Tigers deliberately opted not to extend the deal, focusing instead on rejuvenating their squad. The terms offered to Fabinho were significantly lower than before—around €14 million in base salary per year. Over three years, the Brazilian made 111 appearances for Al-Ittihad, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists. In the 2024/25 season, he captained the team to a historic double: triumphs in both the league and the King’s Cup.

Before his move to Saudi Arabia, Fabinho spent five years at Liverpool—making 219 appearances, winning both the Champions League and the Premier League—and admitted he never wanted to leave Anfield.

Reminder: Boom! Dembélé could move to Saudi Arabia!
