Como have pulled off another eye-catching move on the transfer market.

Details: The Italian club have officially announced the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Robert Sánchez from Chelsea. The 28-year-old has joined Como on loan and will remain with Cesc Fàbregas' side until the end of the 2026/27 season.

Como confirmed that Sánchez arrives directly from Chelsea, where he had played since August 2023. Fàbregas highlighted the goalkeeper's experience at the highest level, his physical presence and, in particular, his ability with the ball, which should suit Como's approach when building attacks from the back.

The Spaniard developed in Levante's academy before moving to Brighton at the age of 15. After loan spells at Forest Green Rovers and Rochdale, he established himself in the Premier League with Brighton before earning his move to Chelsea. Sánchez has also represented Spain at senior international level.

It is worth noting that Sánchez played six matches during Chelsea's victorious 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign and received the Golden Glove as the tournament's best goalkeeper. According to Como, he has already made more than 170 Premier League appearances during his career.
