Official: CAS Confirms Senegal Appeal to Overturn Morocco’s AFCON 2025 Title Decision

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has officially confirmed that the Senegalese Football Federation has filed an appeal challenging the decision to name Morocco as the winner of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The appeal, submitted on Tuesday, March 24, seeks to overturn the ruling made by the Confederation of African Football and restore Senegal as the rightful champions of the tournament.

According to official confirmation, the case was formally registered by CAS on March 25, 2026, with the Senegalese FA requesting that the decision be set aside and that they be declared winners of AFCON 2025.
