Official: Carlos Alcaraz to miss Roland Garros. The reason revealed
Carlos Alcaraz will be unable to participate in the upcoming tournaments.
Details: Carlos Alcaraz has officially announced his withdrawal from the tournaments in Rome and the upcoming Roland Garros. After undergoing a series of medical tests, it became clear that rushing his return to the court would be risky for the long-term prospects of the Spanish tennis star's career.
In an emotional address to his fans, Alcaraz emphasized that he made this difficult but ultimately correct decision to avoid aggravating his condition:
“After receiving the results of today’s tests, we decided that the most prudent course is to be cautious and not take part in the tournaments in Rome and at Roland Garros. We’ll monitor my recovery to determine when I can return to the court. It’s a tough moment for me, but I’m confident we’ll come back even stronger from this.”
It is worth noting that the Spaniard was considered one of the top contenders for the Roland Garros title, but due to injury, he will not have the chance to prove it this year.
