Real Madrid’s star midfielder Jude Bellingham will be forced to miss two La Liga matches.
Details: According to the competition committee's decision, the Englishman’s words directed at referee Luis Munuera Montero during the match against Osasuna were classified as an act of disrespect rather than outright insult, allowing him to avoid a harsher punishment.
Had his words been deemed offensive, Bellingham could have faced a suspension ranging from four to twelve matches. As a result, he will miss the games against Girona and Real Betis. However, Real Madrid is unhappy with the decision and plans to appeal the suspension.
Reminder: Previously, Munuera Montero revealed that Real Madrid fans had sent him death threats.
