Formula 1 has officially confirmed the extension of its agreement with the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, the traditional host of the Austrian Grand Prix. Under the new contract, the event will feature on the Formula 1 calendar at least until the end of the 2041 season, ensuring its presence for the next 16 years.

Notably, the renewal was announced just a few hours before the start of this year's Austrian Grand Prix, symbolically underscoring the significance of this event for the entire Formula 1 community.

As a reminder, the race first appeared on the championship calendar in 1970, originally held at the Österreichring. The circuit was later renovated and renamed the Red Bull Ring. The race disappeared from the calendar in 2003 but made its return 11 years later, in 2014.
