Atlético Madrid have officially announced a blockbuster transfer.
Details: The Spanish national team defender Alejandro Grimaldo has joined the club. Atlético reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen, and the player has signed a long-term contract running until June 30, 2030.
The Spaniard, currently with the national team at the World Cup, is renowned for his versatility.
Grimaldo can cover not only the left-back position, but can also operate as a wing-back, inside forward, or even an attacking midfielder, standing out with his technical ability and impressive productivity both as a creator and a goal scorer.
Throughout his career, Grimaldo came through Barcelona's academy, played for Benfica in Lisbon, and helped Bayer claim a historic "golden double" in Germany.
