Official: Aston Villa sells Durán to Al Nassr

Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán has officially joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.

Details: The 21-year-old Colombian striker has signed a contract with the Middle Eastern giants until 2030. No further official details of the transfer have been disclosed. However, insider Fabrizio Romano reports that Aston Villa will receive €77 million plus bonuses for the player.

Reminder: Durán had been with Aston Villa since January 2023, following his move from Chicago Fire for €16.64 million. This season, he has scored 12 goals in 29 appearances for the club.

Earlier reports suggested that Al Nassr was also interested in signing Milan’s Rafael Leão, but the Rossoneri’s €175 million asking price proved too high for the Saudi side.
