Official: Arthur Masuaku returns to Turkey
The Democratic Republic of the Congo international has joined Konyaspor on a two-season deal.
Arthur Masuaku is returning to the Turkish league. The Congolese left-back, who previously played for Besiktas, will now play for Konyaspor.
The Turkish club announced on Monday 10 August that the DR Congo international has signed a two-season deal. His contract with Konyaspor therefore runs until June 2028.
Arthur Masuaku has joined the Turkish Super Lig from Sunderland in the English Premier League. The 32-year-old defender spent the 2025–2026 season on loan at Lens in France’s Ligue 1.
He joins the Turkish league with a wealth of European experience. Not only did he play in the Super Lig for Beşiktaş from 2022 to 2025, but he has also represented several clubs across Europe.
Arthur Masuaku made his debut for Valenciennes FC in France, before going on to play for Olympiacos, West Ham United, Sunderland and Lens.
