Upson had been part of the Tottenham academy since the age of seven but turned down a new deal from the club and decided to continue his career with their fierce rivals.
The Arsenal newcomer will wear the No. 57 shirt. Previously, the defender represented England at the U18 level and captained Tottenham’s youth team.
"It’s an incredible feeling. I’m extremely proud to be here," Upson said after completing his move.
The transfer carries special significance, as Elijah is the son of former Arsenal and England defender Matthew Upson. Now, the young footballer will look to carve out his own story at the London club.
Reminder: Arteta has a plan! Arsenal target England national team star defender.
