Official: Ansu Fati to play for Monaco on loan

The Monaco management has successfully reached an agreement with Barcelona.

Details: Today, the official page of AS Monaco on X announced the arrival of Barcelona's 22-year-old midfielder Ansu Fati.

It is reported that the loan deal will run until the end of the 2025/26 season, with an option to buy Fati for 11 million euros included in the contract.

Last season, Ansu Fati had a rather lackluster campaign, making just 11 appearances for the Catalan giants without registering a single goal or assist. Barcelona is said to still believe in the young Spaniard's talent, but they feel he needs a fresh start, and the French league is seen as the perfect place for that.

Ansu Fati himself is excited about the move and has already chosen number 31 as his squad number.
