Official: Algeria Part Ways With Head Coach Vladimir Petković by Mutual Agreement

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has officially confirmed the departure of head coach Vladimir Petković, bringing an end to his time in charge of the Desert Foxes after just over two years.

The announcement was made on Monday evening, with the federation revealing that both parties had mutually agreed to terminate the coach's contract.

Petković leaves his role after spending 29 months in charge of the Algerian national team, having overseen the country's return to the FIFA World Cup.

In an official statement, the FAF confirmed that the separation was reached amicably.

"The Algerian Football Federation announced that their contractual relationship with the national team head coach, Vladimir Petkovic, and his coaching staff has officially come to an end today, on a mutual agreement between the two parties," the local soccer governing body said in a statement.

"The Algerian Football Federation extends its sincere thanks to Vladimir Petkovic and all members of his staff for their professionalism, commitment, and dedication throughout their twenty-nine months at the helm of the national team's technical staff," it added.
