Official: 2026 WAFCON Postponed as CAF Announces New Dates

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) has been officially postponed, less than two weeks before the tournament was scheduled to begin.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the decision in a statement, announcing that the competition will now be held from July 25 to August 16, 2026.

According to CAF, the change in schedule was due to “certain unforeseen circumstances.” However, the governing body did not provide further details regarding the reason for the postponement.
