Details: Saudi club Abha has officially announced the signing of Nabil Fekir. The 33-year-old 2018 World Cup winner with France joins the Pro League newcomers as a free agent after a season with Al Jazira in the UAE, where he scored nine goals. The contract is set for two years and, according to media reports, will be the final one of his professional career.
Fekir is a product of Lyon's academy, where he played 192 matches and scored 69 goals, becoming club captain in 2017. In 2019, he moved to Real Betis for €20 million and won the 2022 Copa del Rey with the Andalusian side before continuing his career in the UAE. Now, the former France playmaker will help Abha establish themselves in the elite of Saudi football after their promotion triumph.
Abha was founded back in 1966, but in over 60 years of club history, Fekir is the most decorated player ever to wear their shirt.
