Official: 19-year-old Aaron Anselmino returns to Chelsea from Boca Juniors
Chelsea's young talent Aaron Anselmino, who had been on loan at Boca Juniors, has now returned to the London club.
Details: The club officially announced that the 19-year-old Argentine will no longer play for the Argentine giants. A decision on a potential new loan has not yet been made, so Anselmino is set to begin training at Cobham next week.
During his loan spell, Aaron made 18 appearances for Boca Juniors across all competitions and became a regular starter. His current market value is slightly below the $25 million release clause.
We recently reported that defender Ben Chilwell has become a concern for Chelsea under Enzo Maresca, as he does not meet the Italian's criteria. Despite this, the club failed to sell him during the summer. It seems likely that there will also be challenges in securing a transfer for the 28-year-old this winter.
Reminder: Previous reports indicated that the 28-year-old defender was included in a list of five players Chelsea plans to part with during the winter transfer window.
