Real Madrid has found yet another reason to criticize La Liga - this time the "Los Blancos" claim that the league is allegedly overworking them. But La Liga president Javier Tebas is quick to respond to the capital club.

Details: Tebas pointed out Real's upcoming league match against Leganes as an example. La Liga scheduled it for 16:15 on Saturday, March 29. However, Real, specifically club director Emilio Butragueño, asked the league to reschedule the match to 21:00 Central European Time.

This was done so that players returning from international duty would have more time to rest. However, here's the catch: due to the rescheduling, the cup match against Real Sociedad will now occur within a 72-hour window.

Quote: "Carlo, I'm sure Emilio told you that La Liga scheduled the game against Leganes the following day at 16:15 on Saturday so you could rest before the semifinal against Real Sociedad. But Emilio asked the La Liga director of competitions to move the game to 21:00 - of course, with your knowledge and permission, I assume - in the interests of those returning from FIFA dates. And now we have less than 72 hours between the final whistle on Saturday and the start of the semifinal on Tuesday. May the best reach the final!" Tebas wrote on his X.

Reminder: Earlier, the team's head coach Carlo Ancelotti stated that Real will no longer play matches within a 72-hour window between games.
