Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has donated ₦500,000 from his Africa Cup of Nations bonuses to support goalkeepers playing in the Nigeria Professional Football League. The contribution was aimed at assisting elite shot-stoppers in the domestic league.
Obasogie, who plays for Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars, has maintained strong ties with Nigerian football despite playing abroad. The Benin City-born keeper previously starred for Bendel Insurance, recording a series of clean sheets that boosted his profile nationally. He was part of Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 squad but did not feature. Nigeria finished third, beating Egypt to claim bronze at the AFCON tournament.
