Obafemi Martins Urges Victor Osimhen to Choose La Liga Giants Over Arsenal or Chelsea

Super Eagles legend Obafemi Martins has urged Victor Osimhen to choose a move to Spanish giants Barcelona rather than joining Premier League clubs Arsenal or Chelsea.

Osimhen has continued to attract interest from several top European clubs following his impressive spell at Galatasaray. Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona have all been linked with the Nigerian striker, although Galatasaray remain reluctant to sell him.

Speaking on the Obi One Podcast alongside former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel, Martins was asked whether the Premier League would suit Osimhen.

The former Inter Milan striker believes Barcelona would be a better option for the Nigerian, arguing that a move to Arsenal or Chelsea could make things more difficult for him.

“Chelsea is not doing very well at the moment. " He will struggle at Arsenal. “Don’t make him come there. Let him go to Barcelona to play. He needs to score more goals; he does not need to struggle a lot," said Martins.

Barcelona had also been linked with Osimhen as they searched for a long-term attacking option. However, the La Liga champions have now reportedly signed Gabriel Jesus.
