Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has arrived at Nigeria’s base in Cairo, Egypt, becoming the latest player to report for duty as preparations continue for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles camp officially opened on Sunday, December 14, at the Renaissance Hotels in Cairo, with coaches and backroom staff already in place. Francis Uzoho was the first player to arrive, checking in shortly after 2:00am local time.

Nwabali’s arrival adds momentum to the squad’s gradual assembly, with more players expected in the coming days. Nigeria, three-time Africa Cup of Nations champions, are aiming for a fourth title at the tournament.

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Tanzania and Uganda. They will face Egypt in a friendly on Tuesday before travelling to Morocco, with Eric Chelle’s side opening their campaign against Tanzania on December 23.
