NPFL: Suleiman Ashifat Vows Kwara United Will Keep Fighting for Survival
Kwara United's technical adviser, Suleiman Ashifat, has assured that the team will continue battling to secure their place in the Nigeria Premier Football League despite their goalless draw with Rangers International F.C. on Sunday.
The two sides played out a 0–0 draw at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, as Kwara United picked up a point in their fight to avoid relegation.
Speaking after the match, Ashifat insisted that his team will remain determined as they continue their survival push in the league.
“We will continue to fight until we overcome the hurdles and secure our place in the league,” Ashifat said in an interview with the club’s media team.
Following the result, Kwara United dropped to 18th position on the league table with 33 points from 30 matches.
The Ilorin-based side will now shift their focus to their next fixture, where they will face defending champions Remo Stars next weekend.
