NPFL: Sporting Lagos Manager Buter Labels Barau FC Match Officiating Worst of the Season

Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffrey Buter has hit out at the officiating after his side's Matchday 6 loss to Barau FC, labelling it the poorest he has witnessed this season.

Buter faulted a number of calls made by the officials on the day, voicing his frustration at what he described as inconsistent decision-making.

The defeat came on the back of Sporting Lagos' impressive 3-2 away victory over Enyimba, with the team looking to build momentum against an unbeaten Barau FC side.

Barau FC headed into the clash with 11 points from five games, having beaten Abia Warriors 2-0 in their last match.

Speaking after the match between Sporting Lagos and Barau FC

"For me, I think it was the worst officiating so far this season. It is unacceptable at this level, and if we have to keep going like this, then we are going to suffer this type of result. But kudos to the players; we fought well and we earned a point. We earned it, it wasn't given to us, so we are happy with it.”
