NPFL: Rivers United Begin Pre-Season Preparations Ahead of 2026/27 Campaign

Rivers United have officially kicked off preparations for the 2026/27 season after holding their first pre-season training session on Monday.

The session took place at the Garden City Sports Centre in Port Harcourt, with Technical Manager Finidi George overseeing proceedings alongside his coaching staff.

The Pride of Rivers are gearing up for a demanding campaign that will see them compete in three major competitions. In addition to challenging for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title and the President Federation Cup, the club will also represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League.
