NPFL: Rivers United Beat Warri Wolves 2-0 in Rescheduled Match

Rivers United secured a 2-0 victory over Warri Wolves in their rescheduled Matchday 3 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

Abdulrasheed Dabai opened the scoring for the home side in the 22nd minute, giving Rivers United a deserved lead heading into the break.

The Port Harcourt-based side continued to push for a second goal after the restart and eventually doubled their advantage in the 75th minute through Chinemerem Ugwueze.

The victory marks a strong response from Rivers United following their recent CAF Confederation Cup exit. They have now won both of their opening NPFL matches and will be looking to maintain their winning start.

Rivers United will turn their attention to their next league fixture this weekend when they travel to face Nasarawa United.
