NPFL: Remo Stars Assistant Coach Suleiman Kamir Urges Team to Return to Winning Ways
Remo Stars assistant head coach Suleiman Kamir has called on his players to regain their winning form as quickly as possible following their latest setback in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The Sky Blue Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat to Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium on Thursday, extending their poor run of results.
Speaking after the game, Kamir expressed his disappointment with the outcome but commended his players for giving their all. He emphasized that the focus must now shift to their next match against El-Kanemi Warriors in Abeokuta, which he believes presents the perfect opportunity for a turnaround.
“I am not happy about the outcome of this match,” Kamir said during the post-match briefing.
“This is the best time for us to go back to winning ways, and we have all agreed to do that.”
Remo Stars suffered a 2-1 loss to Nasarawa United in the NPFL Matchday 10 encounter at Lafia City Stadium. The defeat means Remo Stars have now lost five consecutive matches in all competitions, leaving them 17th on the NPFL table. They have now lost their last five games in all competitions, and the pressure is high on both the coach, who is currently undergoing a CAF B course in Abuja, and all the backroom staff.
