NPFL: Rangers Welcome Back Fidelis Ilechukwu After AFCON 2025 Duty With Super Eagles
Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has returned to the team following his involvement with the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Ilechukwu, who serves as an assistant coach with the Nigerian national team, was away on international duty during the AFCON tournament. His return comes as a timely boost for Rangers as they continue their domestic campaign.
The club confirmed the tactician’s return through an official message shared on social media, expressing confidence in the experience he brings back to the squad.
“Our technical adviser returns from AFCON duty with Nigeria, bringing experience back home where it matters most,” the club stated.
Rangers are now preparing for their next league fixture, where they will face Warri Wolves at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday, with Ilechukwu expected to resume his technical responsibilities immediately.
