NPFL: Rangers Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu Believes the Title Race “Is Still Open”
Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu insists the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title race is far from over, following the Flying Antelopes’ 0-0 draw against Barau FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday.
The stalemate came as Rivers United suffered a surprising defeat, keeping the competition for the league crown wide open. Ilechukwu, however, emphasized that Rangers remain focused on the remaining fixtures and are determined to finish the season strongly.
“Five games to go, the league title is still open. Rivers United lost today, but you can never say what can happen. The most important thing is that we will prepare for our next game,” the coach said.
