The Refereeing Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has suspended referee Yakubu Adamu from all football-related activities and league duties.
According to information shared on the official X account of the Nigeria Premier Football League, the referee was sanctioned over a controversial penalty decision during the match between Enugu Rangers International and Bendel Insurance.
The committee stated that the penalty awarded by Adamu was inconsistent with the Laws of the Game, leading to disciplinary action against the official.
