NPFL: Nasarawa United Boss Mbwas Mangut Laments Missed Chances in Defeat to Katsina United

Nasarawa United Technical Adviser Mbwas Mangut has expressed disappointment after his team’s six-game unbeaten target was dashed following a 1-0 loss to Katsina United on Sunday.

The Solid Miners suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Katsina United in their Matchday 26 clash in Ilorin, bringing an end to what had been a promising run of form.

Going into the encounter, Nasarawa United were determined to secure maximum points and extend their unbeaten streak. However, despite creating a number of chances, they were unable to convert their opportunities, while Katsina United capitalised on a slim opening to claim all three points.

Speaking after the game, Mangut expressed his disappointment with the outcome and his team’s overall performance.

“Not what we came here for. However, it’s one of the days to forget in a hurry,” Mangut told Nasarawa United’s media.

“We weren’t that compact in our approach to the game, even though we had our chances, but I think the opponents took advantage of the slim chance that came their way.

” though only the referee could decide whether the whole ball crossed the goalline or not, but it’s a tight call.”
