NPFL: Nasarawa United Beat Inter Lagos as Olusanjo Olutayo Suffers First Defeat

Nasarawa United secured a 2-0 victory over Inter Lagos in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Nine clash at the Onikan Stadium on Sunday, handing interim coach Olusanjo Olutayo his first defeat in charge.

Kelechi Ogbodo opened the scoring for Nasarawa United in the 11th minute before Ugochukwu Leonard doubled their advantage in the 40th minute to seal all three points for the visitors.

The defeat extended Inter Lagos’ winless run to five matches, with the newly promoted side recording three losses and two draws during that period.

Inter Lagos will look to bounce back when they travel to face Kun Khalifat FC next weekend.

They remain bottom of the NPFL table after Matchday Nine, with just two points from nine matches, making them the only team yet to reach three points this season.
