NPFL: Mbwas Mangut Admits Niger Tornadoes Struggled Despite 2 0 Win Over Wikki Tourists
Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Mbwas Mangut has admitted his side found it difficult to hit top gear despite securing a comfortable victory over Wikki Tourists.
The Minna-based outfit recorded a 2 0 win in front of their home fans at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Sunday, but the performance was far from straightforward.
Speaking after the match, Mangut praised his players for their determination and commitment, highlighting their desire to get the job done and claim all three points.
“We thank God for the win. It was a great effort and performance from the players—they showed real desire,” Mangut told the club’s media.
“We struggled to find our rhythm in the first half, which led to the changes we made, and thankfully they worked.”
“Our target remains to secure our NPFL status and finish comfortably,” he added.
