NPFL Matchday 17 Results: Shooting Stars Claim Vital Away Win, Nasarawa United Held to Goalless Draw

Matchday 17 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) delivered another round of intense action on Sunday, highlighted by a crucial away victory for Shooting Stars and a frustrating stalemate for league leaders Nasarawa United.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Shooting Stars showed grit and composure as they edged Barau FC 1–0, picking up valuable points on the road.

In Jos, table-toppers Nasarawa United were forced to settle for a 0–0 draw against Plateau United in a tightly contested encounter. Despite dominating long spells of the match, the visitors were unable to break down a resilient Plateau United defense, dropping points in the title race.

Elsewhere, the defending champions, Remo Stars, suffered a surprise setback in Yenagoa, falling 2–1 to Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium.

Other fixtures also produced plenty of talking points. Enyimba returned to winning ways with a commanding 3–1 victory over Kwara United, while Niger Tornadoes cruised to a convincing 3–0 win against El-Kanemi Warriors. In Ozoro, Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars played out a cagey 0–0 draw, with both sides cancelling each other out.
