NPFL: Mangut Mbwas Praises Nasarawa United’s Resilience Despite Defeat to Remo Stars
Mangut Mbwas has praised the determination of his Nasarawa United players despite their 2–1 loss to Remo Stars in a Matchday 30 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday.
The game at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State proved challenging for the visitors, who were reduced to 10 men in the first half after one of their attackers received a red card.
Despite the setback, Nasarawa United showed great fighting spirit, managing to pull level before eventually conceding a late goal that handed victory to the hosts.
Speaking after the match, Mbwas commended his players for their effort and resilience throughout the encounter.
“I am not really disappointed because we played almost the entire game with a man down after a first-half red card. We still managed to equalise before conceding late,” he said.
“I give credit to my boys for their bravery and resilience.”
The coach also turned his attention to the team’s next fixture against Rivers United in Lafia next weekend, expressing confidence that his side can bounce back.
“We hope to recover from today’s defeat in our next game. We will continue to fight hard as there are still eight matches left before the end of the season,” he added
