NPFL: Mangut Mbwas Expresses Disappointment in Nasarawa United 3-2 Loss to Shooting Stars
Nasarawa United head coach Mangut Mbwas has expressed his disappointment following his side’s narrow 3-2 defeat to Shooting Stars Sports Club at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Despite the loss, Mbwas praised his team’s overall performance, insisting they deserved more from the game after a strong showing away from home.
Speaking after the match, the Nasarawa United boss did not hide his frustration with the result:
"I feel so disappointed with the result today, especially after putting in a superb performance.
"We lost due to a momentary loss of concentration.
"However, I am happy with the performance of my players. We came determined to win today (yesterday), but unfortunately, we were unlucky in front of goal on several occasions."
Congratulations to the hosts.
Like I said before, the league is still open to teams in the top six positions.
"We will fight till the end of the season with the hope of achieving our set goals.
"For now, our focus is on our next and last home game of the season against Plateau United in Lafia. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it."
