Kwara United F.C. has strongly condemned the attack on journalists that occurred after its Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 26 encounter against Kano Pillars F.C. at the George Innih Stadium that ended in a 1-1 draw.
The unfortunate incident, which targeted media professionals carrying out their official duties, has drawn concern from stakeholders within the football community.
In an official statement, the Chairman of Kwara United, Kumbi Titiloye, described the attack as both unfortunate and deeply regrettable. He expressed sympathy for members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Kwara State, acknowledging the vital role journalists play in promoting and developing the game.
