NPFL: Kwara United Coach Ashifat Suleiman Reacts After Goalless Draw Against Shooting Stars
Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has voiced his disappointment after his team was held to a goalless draw by Shooting Stars on Sunday in their Matchday 14 clash of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The match took place at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium in Ilorin.
Speaking to the club media after the encounter, Suleiman said his side was unfortunate not to secure all three points, noting that Shooting Stars’ physical style of play disrupted Kwara United’s rhythm and flow.
“3SC played very aggressive and physical football. It affected them too—they lost two of their players to injury in the first half with that physicality. We’ll go back, regroup, and make up for the lost points.”
Kwara United now sits 11th on the NPFL log with 18 points from 14 matches. The Harmony Boys will travel to Kano next weekend for their next fixture against Barau.
