NPFL: Kwara United Coach Ashifat Suleiman Laments Missed Chances After 3–2 Loss to Barau FC
Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has voiced his disappointment following his team’s failure to capitalize on their opportunities in a narrow 3–2 defeat to Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. The thrilling Matchday 15 encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) saw the Harmony Boys fall short despite creating several clear chances.
Speaking to the club’s media team after the match, Suleiman expressed frustration at his players’ lack of clinical finishing. “We were punished for not taking our chances,” he said, emphasizing that the outcome could have been different with better precision in front of goal.
Kwara United will now turn their focus to Matchday 16, where they are set to host Niger Tornadoes next Sunday in Ilorin. Following the defeat, the Harmony Boys have slipped to 14th place on the NPFL table after 15 matches.
