NPFL: Kwara United Beat Nasarawa United 2-1 on Matchday Five

Kwara United secured a 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Five fixture at the Kwara Stadium in Ilorin.

Sanni Muhammed gave the home side an early lead in the 12th minute, but Jofrank Istifanus restored parity for Nasarawa United in the 29th minute.

Kwara United regained the advantage after the break, with Abdulsalam Abdulsalam scoring in the 65th minute to put the Ilorin-based club back in front.

The hosts held on to claim all three points, recording their second win of the season.

The defeat leaves Nasarawa United winless in their last three matches, with the Lafia-based side managing just one win and one draw from their opening five games.
